Earl Grey Tea Cupcakes (Gluten-Free)

Earl Grey tea cupcakes are amazing. I heard about Earl Grey tea through Star Trek, because Captain Picard drinks it all the time. Earl grey tea has a dreamy, aromatic scent and goes well in desserts. How To make desserts with Earl Grey tea in it, I basically cut open an Earl Grey tea bag and sifted the tea leaves. The sifted tea is what I put in a dessert recipe. I am going to try to make other tea flavored desserts next time to see how they would turn out. I want to try using Chrysanthemum tea leaves, oolong tea leaves, green tea leaves (not matcha powder). Earl Grey Tea Cupcakes Recipe

Serving: 10 cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy milk
  • 1/8 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg separated
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup almond flour sifted
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp Earl Grey Tea leaves sifted

Method

  1. Mix all of the wet ingredients together, then add in the dry ingredients and combine well.
  2. Bake the cupcakes in a preheated oven at 350 F. for 15-16 minutes, or 9-10 minutes in a Babycakes cupcake maker.
